These sprouts are locally-grown on organic compost. They contain high level of nutritional content and aids in cancer treatment.
According to researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, these broccoli sprouts may contain anywhere from 30 to 50 times the concentration of beneficial nutritional compound than mature broccoli plants. Just 5 grams of sprouts contain concentrations of the compound equal to 150 grams of mature broccoli.
They also mentioned that “If you look at the epidemiological data, it’s so clear that consumption of these kinds of vegetables is related to a lower cancer risk. If it turns out that one could consume a small portion of sprouts in the diet instead of large portions of broccoli and cauliflower, and still get the same protection, that could make a difference to a lot of people.”
They can be consume raw in salad or used in juicing.
